Betty Shelby, the Tulsa police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black man last year, was found not guilty of first-degree manslaughter. In September 2016, Shelby shot Terrence Crutcher next to his broken-down SUV on an Oklahoma road. Police said Crutcher failed to obey commands, and Shelby testified that she thought Crutcher was reaching for something in his SUV.
